Looking after your glassware

Washing

  1. Dishwasher-safe glasses can be washed in the dishwasher: place them securely so they do not knock, use the top rack and a gentle or glass-specific cycle, short and at a low temperature.
  2. Not all glasses are dishwasher-safe: read the product details. Long-stemmed wine glasses are best washed by hand with a soft cloth, warm water and a mild washing-up liquid.
  3. Water temperature: glass and crystal are sensitive to temperature variations, so avoid water that is too hot or too cold.

Drying and shine

  1. Dry carefully and polish if necessary; a soft, lint-free cloth is recommended.
  2. To avoid glass corrosion, use a mild detergent and wash at a low temperature.
  3. Limescale: soak in hot water with rinse aid or citric acid for 20 to 30 minutes, then wipe off with a cloth.
