Looking after your cutlery

Cleaning

  1. First use: wash thoroughly in warm soapy water before first use.
  2. Wash promptly: immediately, or as soon as possible after use, as foodstuffs contain salts, acids and fats which may cause corrosion.
  3. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for wash temperature, rinse cycle and detergent dosage; assess water hardness and use water softeners if required.
  4. Use cutlery baskets, and do not over-fill them, so water can flow.

Drying

  1. Dry immediately or remove from the dishwasher, to avoid prolonged contact with water or moisture which can cause corrosion or rusting.

Avoid

  1. Soaking prior to washing.
  2. Abrasive cleaning articles or detergents, which may scratch, damage or stain the surface.
