Care and use

Looking after your ceramics

Cleaning

  1. Wash before first use and promptly after each use.
  2. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for wash temperature, rinse cycle and detergent dosage; use water softeners if water is hard.
  3. Use plastic or rubber scrapers to remove food residue: metal utensils or abrasives may damage the glazed surface.
  4. Never wash cutlery or other metal items among ceramic products.

Use

  1. Oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe, with a temperature range of -40°C to 250°C.
  2. Do not subject to sudden extreme temperature changes, such as straight from a freezer to a hot oven or grill.
  3. Matt glazed and coloured products show wear more than standard glazed white items, and cutlery can mark a matt glaze.

Storage and handling

  1. Use the appropriate racks for storage.
  2. Make sure handles and spouts do not knock together.
  3. Keep contact with metal surfaces to a minimum; plastic or rubber mats on metal surfaces reduce marking and abrasion.
