Care and use

Looking after your Churchill tableware

Cleaning

  1. Before first use inspect all items and wash twice before putting into service.
  2. Wash promptly remove and rinse leftover food immediately; wash within 30-40 minutes of use.
  3. Metal marking: use a plastic spatula to remove leftovers, and a non-abrasive pad to remove stains.
  4. Dishwasher: follow the detergent and rinse-aid recommendations, and clean the dishwasher regularly to prevent limescale. Don't put detergent directly onto dinnerware.
  5. Keep apart: don't mix cutlery and ceramics when cleaning.

Storage and stacking

  1. Air dry before stacking; never stack hot wet ceramics.
  2. Stack only what is designed to stack, and don't over stack: too much weight causes scratching and metal marking.
  3. Store preferably on high-grade stainless steel shelves or shelf mats, with ceramics, metal and glassware kept separate.

Handling and warming

  1. Lift, don't slide products, and avoid excessive pressure on the surface.
  2. Warm gradually and evenly; avoid big temperature swings such as fridge straight to a hot oven.
